We now have only a small number of properties to restore gas to – the gas is there, it’s just that no-one has been home when we have made visits to turn it back on.

Work to upgrade some of the oldest working gas pipelines in North West England will take place over 15 weeks this summer in Blackpool

Every property has been visited at least once. We will continue to visit each of the properties still without gas today. The numbers are small, as long as people are in, we will get them back on gas today.

Major works to replace 1,000 metres of gas pipes under Newark Road and Hykeham Road, Lincoln, which are essential to keeping homes in the area warm, begin on Monday 17th June.

A smell of gas in Crosby has been traced to a pipe under one of the town’s busiest road junctions – with teams preparing to move in early tomorrow morning to repair it.

The road closure on Cockspur Street, London was reopened later yesterday afternoon. The gas emergency has been dealt with and the reinstatement of the road has been completed.
