As part of its RIIO-2 environmental goals, Cadent has committed to having 1,000 zero emission vehicles operating across all of its networks by 2026.

A £1million boost to Leigh’s gas network, making sure thousands of homes stay warm in the coldest of winters, enters a new phase next week (starting 1 September).

To achieve its 2050 Net Zero goals the UK is going to have make significant changes to its economy, especially in the transport sector.

Cadent, which manages thousands of miles of gas pipes that run under the Black Country, has found gas is escaping in small amounts from a pipe about one metre below Rookery Road.

Work will be delivered in phases and a convoy traffic control system implemented to enable work to be carried out safely
